Holistic learning
Holistic learning not only promotes children's intellectual abilities, but also addresses their social, emotional and physical needs. In this way, learning is extended to a diverse range of skills and all aspects of development are taken into account.
The concept is based on the assumption that learning is not just about memorizing information, but should be a comprehensive experience that engages all of a person's senses.
Learning according to the holistic teaching concept
- appeals to several senses simultaneously
- is often emotionally moving
As a result, learning can be more effective and what has been learned can be better remembered, as learning psychology research has shown.
The holistic learning concept is also used outside of kindergarten. However, in formal education, from elementary school to university, holistic learning also poses challenges. Standardized curricula and uniform performance measurement are sometimes difficult to reconcile with this learning concept. Compared to traditional methods, the holistic approach to education can offer some learners a more comprehensive and flexible approach to learning content.

The philosophy of beleduc Lernspielwaren GmbH places holistic development at the center of product development: “Play - Experience - Learn”. Under this holistic approach to learning, beleduc develops toys that allow children to freely develop and expand their potential. Playing should be for the sake of playing and stimulate free play, imagination and excitement. The toys are also highly stimulating and arouse curiosity. When experimenting and reflecting, children experience their environment with all their senses and thus learn quite casually with their heart, hands and mind.

The earlier a child's creativity and coordination skills are supported, the easier it will be for them to learn, solve tasks and develop their own ideas later on. The toys from beleduc promote a variety of skills that a child should acquire between the ages of two and seven. The focus is on six educational areas: science, mathematics, language, art, somatics and social skills.
Interactive play school
The topic of “school” also occupies children before they start school. The new Interactive Play School role-play element provides lots of fun and creative role-play and children learn along the way. The room element can be played with from all sides and offers lots of variety and great details.
The integrated elements of the Interactive Play School combine mathematical education (geometric shapes, counting and arithmetic with slide rules and rotating elements for practising simple addition and subtraction with the numbers 1 to 6), language education (learning letters with rotating cubes with motifs and letters) and science education (weather slider and seasons slider). With the three additional learning cards, children can also try out swing exercises, create a timetable and learn about the development from apple blossom to fruit or the development from egg to butterfly. Role play on the subject of school encourages curiosity and a willingness to learn as well as social skills.
Fröbel's laying materials
With Fröbel's laying materials, children can playfully get to know geometric shapes, recreate their environment or create their own buildings. The free combination strengthens children's intuitive understanding of scientific concepts and their fine motor skillsWith the new Fröbel Set 3 from beleduc, in addition to the colorful laying materials with template cards, backgrounds and laying picture stories, children also have all kinds of opportunities to get creative with them. The combination of artistic and aesthetic suggestions for copying and free play stimulates thought processes around the topic of relationships with geometric shapes: from the simple to the complex. Ideal for individual or group play.
