Game idea & illustration: Monika Mulzer-Adam
It is spring at last. The sun is shining and the most beautiful flowers
are blooming on the meadow. The bees are busy now because the little baby bees
in their honeycombs are waiting to be fed at last. While the bees are sucking
the sweet nectar out of the flowers, their yellow and black fluffy bodies pick
up pollen. This pollen is used to feed the little baby bees so that they will
soon be able to fly themselves from flower to flower.
Game preparation:
The wooden box with the 6 lids and the dice with symbols are placed on
the table.
Each player chooses a bee colour and places his five bees on the felt
flower of the same colour in front of him.
Rules of the game:
The dice shows 6 different flowers, which can also be found on the lids
of the individual honeycombs. The youngest player throws the dice and he may
then put one of his bees down on the lid with the same flower as that shown on
the dice. It is now the next player’s turn.
And so each takes his turn until the flower shown on the dice matches
that on a lid that has a bee sitting on it already. In this case he may not set
any of his own bees down but must take the bee that is already there and place
it under the lid into the wooden box. It is now the next player’s turn.
Whenever the lid is free, a bee can be set down on it and if the lid is
occupied, the bee sitting there is put into the box.
End of the game:
The winner is the first to get all his bees into the right honeycomb.
Have fun feeding the jolly little baby bees!
