TIRILI....

Who will be the first to have his three little birds in the nest? This is a game that encourages colour recognition.

It isn’t easy for bird parents to get ready for their offspring. First of all, they have to find a suitable place for a nest, then make the nest and line it comfortably so that it will be cosy for the eggs to lie in and be a snug home later for the little baby birds. In this game you can help the bird parents a little. They have already made the nests and must now put the feathers and eggs into them so that the baby birds will be able to sit in the nest in the end.

Game preparation:

The game board is placed in the middle of the table. The bird nests are put on the round fields in the centre. Each player chooses a big coloured bird and in addition the three little baby birds in the same colour. The players are then given 3 eggs and 3 feathers each as well.

Each player now places the feathers, the eggs and the little baby birds onto the field of the same colour in one of the corners of the game board. The big bird is put on the respective starting field.

Rules of the game:

The youngest child throws the dice and may move his bird in a clockwise direction as many places as the dots shown on the dice he has thrown. If the bird lands on her own colour, the player may place a feather and an egg into her nest. If she lands on another colour, nothing happens and it is the next player’s turn.

When all three feathers and all three eggs are in the nest, the bird can go into the nest too the next time she arrives on the field in the right colour. She has time to hatch the eggs now because the game continues with the small baby birds. The little baby birds also start in a clockwise direction, one after another. That means, as soon as one baby bird is in the nest, the next one can start. The players can move the little baby birds forwards or backwards on the board to get to the right colour.

When a baby bird lands on a field in his own colour, he can take his place in the nest and so on with each of the three birds. To give the baby bird a place, just take an egg out of the nest and put in a baby bird instead. Our tip: It is even more fun to use chocolate eggs because these can be eaten straight away after the exchange.

End of the game:

The winner is the first one to get all the little baby birds into the nest.

Have a lot of fun with our little bird families!
