The most delicious coconuts grow high up in the tall monkey trees in the Bingo Bongo jungle. They taste so good that the monkeys just can’t get enough of them. That’s why so many of them are eaten every year.

Almost all the coconuts have been devoured already. Only one is left and the monkeys are trying to scamper up to the top of the tree as quickly as possible to get that last one. This is not so easy because they pull each other down by the tail and the branches break off.

Would you like to help the monkeys?

Aim of the Game:

Whose monkey will be the first to get the coconut down from the tree?

Game Preparation:

First, the tree trunk is placed on the green board. Each player now chooses one side of the tree, takes 6 branches and picks a monkey.

The coconut is placed on top of the tree. The youngest player is handed the dice and he starts first.

How to Play:

Depending on which motif comes up when the dice is thrown, a lot of different actions are possible.

Place a branch.

Move a monkey up one branch

Move another player’s monkey down or take away another player’s branch.

Free choice of one of the following: inserting a branch, moving a monkey up one branch, moving another player’s monkey down or taking away another player’s branch.

Special features:

If the symbol “insert a branch” comes up and if you have already put all your own branches in the tree, you must insert one of the other

players’ branches.

If the symbol “move a monkey up one branch” comes up on the dice but you have not inserted any branch to enable your monkey to climb up higher, you must place another player’s monkey up higher. You are not permitted to miss a go.

Only when there is absolutely no way of doing the action shown on the dice (which can happen precisely at the beginning of the game), may you throw the dice again. To take the coconut from the sixth branch, the monkey must be placed higher again.

The winner is the one whose monkey gets the coconut!

Have a lot of fun climbing up and down the tree!
