Game idea:

The four brownies are busy as usual and want to finish building the belfry before the bell-ringer comes to climb the belfry to ring the bells. They will really have to hurry, however, because the bell-ringer is on his way already and coming closer and closer. So, help the brownies get the work done quickly.

Object of the Game:

The object of the game is it to build the tower together. If the tower is ready before the bell-ringer reaches his last space, everyone has won. However, if the tower is not finished by the time the bell-ringer is standing in front of it, everyone has lost.

Game preparation:

At the beginning of the game, the four sticks are placed in the centre of the board to form the structure of the tower. Every player selects a colour and places his 4 wooden pieces on the outside spaces of that colour. The bell-ringer is placed on the lilac space.

Rules of the Game:

You can now start building the tower. The youngest player begins by throwing the dice and, depending on the number of dots shown on the dice, he moves one of his pieces towards the tower. Counting begins from the space with the arrow and that goes for all four playing pieces. To reach the tower, it is not necessary for the player to throw the exact number of dots to land on that precise square. It is enough if the player’s piece reaches the tower. Once the player reaches the tower, he can put his playing piece into the middle of the sticks.

If one of the players throws the dice and the bell-ringer symbol comes up, the bell-ringer has to be moved one space forwards. The players continue to take turns throwing the dice and the tower increases in height.

All the players lose the game if the bell-ringer reaches the last space in front of the tower before the players have finished building the tower together.

However, if the tower is finished before the bell-ringer arrives, all the players have won and the player to put the last playing piece on the tower may place the bell-ringer up on top to ring the bell.

Beleduc wishes you a lot of fun building the tower, but be quick because the bell-ringer is getting closer and closer ...
